K-9 Beau is a male German Shepherd. While Beau's breed originated in Germany in 1899, Beau was born in the Republic of Slovakia. He is trained as a dual purpose dog, meaning he has more than one task for which he is responsible.
In his off time, Beau likes to take long walks in the country, play fetch with his favorite tug toy, play with his family, and his latest venture - swimming.
K-9 Jack is a male German Shepherd. The German Shepherd is the same breed as Hollywood movie stars Rin-Tin-Tin and Strongheart.
Jack is trained as a dual purpose dog, meaning he has more than one task for which he is responsible. Jack joined the force in 2013.
When off duty, Jack likes to take long walks with his Labrador Retriever "sibling", Mollie, participate in household renovation projects, stand guard over the backyard grill to make sure no food should escape the grill top, and sleep in anyone's bed but his.
K-9 Reno is one of the veterans of the Department, joining the force in 2009. He is trained as a dual purpose dog, meaning he has more than one task for which he is responsible.
When not working, Reno hangs out with his other "boss" - the family Boxer, Diamond. Reno is a big fan of TV, including the show Cops and Cops Reloaded. He likes to hear the K-9s on the shows barking and the sirens going! His outdoor activities include rounding up skunks, where so far the score is 0 to 5. In whose favor? We can say that no skunk was harmed during any of these round-ups!
K-9 Riggs is a Belgian Malinois who joined the Department in 2013. He originally hails from Slovakia. The Malinois is known for its confidence and outstanding ability at police work, as well as search and rescue work. Riggs is not only trained in patrol work, but he is also trained to find bombs.
When Riggs is spending time off duty, he likes to hang out with the family, especially playing with his four-legged "brother," a German Shepherd named Bruin. He also likes to oversee the ducks and chickens, as well as help with the gardening chores.
K-9 Thor is a German Shepherd who as been with the Department since 2010. Thor was born in the Czech Republic. Due to their trainability, the German Shepherd is one of the most popular breeds in the U.S., not only as a pet, but also in police work. Thor is trained as a dual purpose dog.
Thor likes to spend his spare time hiking, chasing his Kong through the yard, and playing with his two Akita "siblings."
K-9 Zeke is a Belgian Malinois who joined the Department in 2011. Zeke was born in Poland. The Malinois is bundle of energy with a strong work ethic. The breed is quick, alert and dedicated to its owner, and Zeke epitomizes that description. K-9 Zeke is trained as a dual purpose dog.
When Zeke isn't working, he's still finding things to keep himself busy. He likes to keep busy by doing anything that requires him to keep moving! He also likes to play with his four-legged "siblings," and just soak up attention.
K-9 Zeke is also a multiple national award winner in police work as a result of an incident where Zeke was shot in the line of duty.
